Well history

WRITTEN BY THE NORWEGIAN OFFSHORE DIRECTORATE

Well 6507/5-11 Slagugle, drilled by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS, is a wildcat well located in the Greater Heidrun Area, Norwegian Sea, at the boundary between the Revfallet Fault Complex and the Sør High. The well is approximately 25 km north of the Heidrun platform. The primary exploration targets were the Åre and Grey Beds formations, with a secondary target in the Brilleugle lead within the Paleogene Rogaland Group.

Operations and Results

The well was spudded with the semi-submersible rig Transocean Norge on 08 March 2022 and drilled to a total depth of 2272.9 m TVD in the Triassic Red Beds. The well encountered 160 m net sandstones with very good reservoir quality in the primary target of the Åre Formation and Grey Beds, but all sands were water bearing. Oil shows were identified on cuttings in the Rogaland Group and uppermost Åre Formation. The well was classified as dry.

Testing

No drill stem test was performed.

About this data

Norwegian Offshore Directorate (Sodir) FactPages, mirrored nightly and used under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). Depths are metres along the wellbore from the kelly bushing unless a row gives its own unit; older cores are filed in feet. A zero the Directorate files for an unmeasured pressure, density, or temperature is shown as a dash.
