Connect your AI

Add the connector

Browsing is one way to use Petrora. The other is to let the assistant you already use do the browsing: your ChatGPT, your Claude, or the applications your company runs. Petrora runs a remote MCP server, the open standard assistants use for tools. Once it is connected, you ask in plain language and the assistant calls Petrora, then links to the pages it used.

Beta. The connector is live for every account; your free trial starts the moment you approve it in your assistant, with nothing to request and no credit card. The steps below are all there is.

Why you would want it

Petrora's pages answer one question at a time. An assistant with the connector answers the compound ones: who ramped up in a county this quarter and what they are targeting, which of an operator's leases are declining fastest, whether the disposal wells near an earthquake belong to the same company. It does the four page visits for you and shows its work.

It is also the way to use Petrora inside tools you already have. A company application that speaks MCP can call the same tools, with the same citations, without anyone writing an integration.

How it works

The connector exposes twenty-eight read-only tools, one per read on Petrora's API: search and hub tools for operators, permits, counties, wells, leases, fields, formations, and basins, plus disposal and earthquake tools statewide and by county. Each returns the same records the pages show and the page URL for every entity. The assistant decides which tools to call; you see the calls and the links.

No data is copied into the assistant. Every answer is fetched live, so it is as current as the page.

Pick your assistant

Each is a five-minute setup: add a connector, paste the server URL, and approve it on a Petrora page in your browser. The assistants you have approved are listed on your account page, where you can disconnect any of them.

What changes once it is connected

Questions that used to take four page visits take one sentence. "Who ramped up in Reeves County this quarter, and what are they targeting?" becomes a tool call for operator activity, a tool call for county permits, and an answer with two petrora.com links.

The rule that makes this trustworthy: every Petrora tool returns the page URL with every entity. If an assistant gives you a number with no link, it did the arithmetic itself. Ask it for the source.

If you do not use an assistant

The REST API gives the same data as JSON to any program, with no AI involved. That is the next page.
