Well history
WRITTEN BY THE NORWEGIAN OFFSHORE DIRECTORATE
General
Well 34/10-34 discovered oil in the Middle Jurassic Tarbert Formation in 1991. The well was suspended as a possible future producer. In 1993 the discovery, called Gullfaks Vest, was included in the larger Gullfaks Field and production from the Gullfaks B platform was initiated. The objective of the re-entry 34/10-34 R was plugging and permanent abandonment.
Operations and results
Well R4/10-34 was re-entered (34/10-34 R) with the semi-submersible installation Transocean Wildcat on 6 October 2001.
The well was plugged and permanently abandoned on 16 October 2001.

About this data
Norwegian Offshore Directorate (Sodir) FactPages, mirrored nightly and used under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). Depths are metres along the wellbore from the kelly bushing unless a row gives its own unit; older cores are filed in feet. A zero the Directorate files for an unmeasured pressure, density, or temperature is shown as a dash.
