Well history
WRITTEN BY THE NORWEGIAN OFFSHORE DIRECTORATE
General
Well 6406/6-5 S Jasper, drilled by TOTAL E&P Norge, is a wildcat well located on the Haltenbanken terrace in the Norwegian Sea, approximately 12km North of the Linnorm HP/HT gas-condensate discovery. The primary exploration target was the Middle Jurassic reservoir rocks (Garn and Ile formations), with a secondary target in the Lower Jurassic reservoir rocks (Tofte formation).
Operations and Results
The well was spudded with the Scarabeo-8 rig on 13 August 2018 and drilled to 374 m MD. During the cement job of the 30 conductor pipe, excessive slurry returned to the surface and hardened around the wellhead and obstructing access. Despite attempts to clean the cement, it could not be removed, leading to the decision to re-spud the well. The well was re-spudded 15 meters northwest of the original location as well 6406/6-6 S.
Testing
No drill stem test was performed.

About this data
Norwegian Offshore Directorate (Sodir) FactPages, mirrored nightly and used under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). Depths are metres along the wellbore from the kelly bushing unless a row gives its own unit; older cores are filed in feet. A zero the Directorate files for an unmeasured pressure, density, or temperature is shown as a dash.
