General

Well 6608/11-9 (Godalen) is located on the Sør High part of the Nordland Ridge in the Mid-Norway parts. The well was designed as a vertical exploration well to investigate the distribution and hydrocarbon bearing potential of the Rogn Formation in the Godalen prospect. In addition, investigate the properties of the Intra Melke Formation sandstones.

Operations and results

Well 6608/11-9 was drilled with the semi-submersible drilling rig Transocean Artic on 13 July 2019 and drilled vertically to TD of 1700 m (1699.9 m TVD) in the Middle Jurassic Not Formation. The well was drilled down to 1103 m with seawater and sweeps and from 1103 m to TD with KCl/Glycol water-based mud.

About this data

Norwegian Offshore Directorate (Sodir) FactPages, mirrored nightly and used under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). Depths are metres along the wellbore from the kelly bushing unless a row gives its own unit; older cores are filed in feet. A zero the Directorate files for an unmeasured pressure, density, or temperature is shown as a dash.
