Well history
WRITTEN BY THE NORWEGIAN OFFSHORE DIRECTORATE
General
Well 35/11-24 B is a geological side-track to well 35/11-23 S on the Lomre terrace, 6km west of the Fram Vest field in the North Sea. Well 35/11-24 S (Swisher) found oil and gas in two Intra-Heather Formation sandstones. The objective of well 35/11-24 B was to test reservoir and hydrocarbons in both sandstones in the southern part of the structure.
Operations and results
Appraisal well 35/11-24 B was kicked off from 1528 m 35/11-23 S on 29 August 2020. It was drilled with the semi-submersible installation West Hercules to TD at 3479 m (3118.4 m TVD) m in Middle Jurassic claystone belonging to the Heather Formation. Operations proceeded without significant problems. The well was drilled with Versatec oil-based mud from kick-off to TD.
The upper Intra-Heather sand was not present in the well. The lower sand, from 3398 to 3401 m (3045 to 3048 m TVD), was poorly developed. This sand contains oil on the same pressure gradient as in well 35/11-24 S. The only shows in the well are recorded in this sand. The combined pressure data from all three wells indicate an oil-water contact for the lower Intra-Heather sand on the structure between 3037.5 and 3044 m TVD MSL.
No cores were cut in this well. MDT fluid samples were taken at 3364.1 m (water) and 3400 (oil).
The well was permanently abandoned on 16 September 2020 as an oil appraisal well.
Testing
No drill stem test was performed.

About this data
Norwegian Offshore Directorate (Sodir) FactPages, mirrored nightly and used under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). Depths are metres along the wellbore from the kelly bushing unless a row gives its own unit; older cores are filed in feet. A zero the Directorate files for an unmeasured pressure, density, or temperature is shown as a dash.
