Well history
WRITTEN BY THE NORWEGIAN OFFSHORE DIRECTORATE
Well 6507/2-6 Storjo East, drilled by Aker BP, is a wildcat well located on the Dønna Terrace, west of the Skarv and Ærfugl fields, and southeast of the Ørn Discovery. The primary exploration target was the Middle Jurassic Garn Formation, with secondary targets in the Lower to Middle Jurassic Ile and Tilje formations.
Operations and Results
The well was spudded with the Deepsea Nordkapp on 25 May 2022 and drilled to a total depth of 4904.2 meters TVD in the Upper Åre Formation. The well encountered multiple hydrocarbon-bearing reservoirs: Lysing Formation (Gas and Oil, 58.9 meters gross and 47.2 meters net), Lange Formation (Hydrocarbons, 34 meters gross and 11.6 meters net), Garn Formation (Gas, 52.6 meters gross and 3 meters net), Ile Formation (Gas, 44 meters gross and 5 meters net), and Tilje Formation (Gas, 107.3 meters gross and 40 meters net). Specific gas contacts were found at -2833 meters TVDSS for the Lysing Formation, -4578.6 meters TVDSS for the Garn Formation, -4671.2 meters TVDSS for the Ile Formation, and -4885 meters TVDSS for the Tilje Formation. Two cores were cut and retrieved: Core #1 from 4642 to 4678.4 meters (36.4 meters) and Core #2 from 4720.7 to 4756.9 meters (36.2 meters). The well is classified as a discovery gas well.

About this data
Norwegian Offshore Directorate (Sodir) FactPages, mirrored nightly and used under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). Depths are metres along the wellbore from the kelly bushing unless a row gives its own unit; older cores are filed in feet. A zero the Directorate files for an unmeasured pressure, density, or temperature is shown as a dash.
