Well history
WRITTEN BY THE NORWEGIAN OFFSHORE DIRECTORATE
Well 6507/3-16 Barlindåsen, drilled by Aker BP, is a wildcat well located north east of the Skarv and Idun fields, within the Revfallet Fault Complex. The primary exploration target was the Jurassic/Triassic stratigraphy of the Barlindåsen prospect, with secondary objectives to test the Triassic Grey Beds Formation and the Paleocene Felicia Prospect.
Operations and Results
The well was spudded with Deepsea Nordkapp on 16 July 2022 and drilled to TD at 2238 m TVD in the Grey Beds Formation. The well encountered a gross reservoir of 573 m and a net reservoir of 200 m, consisting of Jurassic/Triassic sandstone layers with high reservoir quality. No hydrocarbons were found in the well. A total of 30 sidewall cores were collected out of the 31 planned. The well was classified as dry.
Testing
No drill stem test was performed.

About this data
Norwegian Offshore Directorate (Sodir) FactPages, mirrored nightly and used under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). Depths are metres along the wellbore from the kelly bushing unless a row gives its own unit; older cores are filed in feet. A zero the Directorate files for an unmeasured pressure, density, or temperature is shown as a dash.
